New Year, New You?

  
The cool thing about a “new year” is that you get to literally start your fitness goals all over. your 2015 fitness plan resets like your body cou..nevermind. so here we are “ New Year, New You” but before you buy a million supplements, gym clothes, and expensive gym memberships let’s cover the best way to make and keep your fitness resolution for 2016!
Be Realistic 
The fastest way to fall short of your goal is to make your goal unattainable. i’ve come to find that with clients and gym-goer, creating goals with measurable marks will help a lot more. strive for a goal that is attainable in a short amount of time from going down one dress size to even cutting back on your favorite unhealthy meal.
2. Plan Ahead
Ideally you created a fitness goal and plan halfway through last december, but if you didnt dont worry we still have time. use this week to create a plan,workout, and nutrition schedule, its also important to plan out ways to take a mental break from the gym. By creating a solid plan you put yourself in position to to win.

  
3. Talk About It
Don’t keep your resolution a secret. Tell friends and family members who will be there to support you along the way. often times we keep these goals a secret and the people around us put us in bad positions with food and working out due to not knowing.The best-case scenario is that you who find a friend who shares your New Year’s resolution and motivate each other.
4. Reward Yourself
This doesn’t mean that you can eat an entire box of chocolates or popeyes if your resolution is to eat a better “diet’. Instead, celebrate your success by treating yourself to something you enjoy that doesn’t go against your resolution. 
5.Track Your Progress
Keep track of each small success. Short-term goals are easier to keep, and each small accomplishment will help keep you motivated. Instead of focusing on losing 50 pounds, let’s focus on losing the first 10 pounds and progress from there. another great way to track progress is to Keep a food journal to help see how food impacts your results

If you’ve run out of steam when it comes to keeping your resolution by mid-February, don’t stress yourself out. Think, What Would Zeus Do? and if you know me i would take a day to chill and get back to work because nobody likes a quitter(i’m kind of extreme) Start over again! or just contact me for sessions. both are great options, see you guys on the treadmill.
